More than 18 years of experience in leading multilateral negotiations, developing stakeholder engagement programmes and channels of communication with governments, UN agencies, international organisations, think tanks, civil society, foundations, academia, private industry and other partners on an international level. Heading the UNICRI Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics with the objective to enhance understanding of the risk-benefit duality of AI through improved coordination, knowledge collection and dissemination, awareness-raising and global outreach activities.
Valeria Komissarova is the founder of Make Hardware, Bay Area-based business development & fundraising consultancy for hardware ecosystem players (startups, VCs, service providers). Among her current clients is Encata.net, full-service design & engineering agency for hardware products with presence in 10+ countries and more than 200+ employees. Prior to Make Hardware, Valeria had spent 6 years building from ground zero one of the leading hardware VC firms Grishin Robotics (investing in companies like Spire, Zipline, Sphero, littleBits). She is also an active mentor at TechStars, HAX & Make In LA.

Alain joined NVIDIA in 1999, and helped establish NVIDIA’s European operations from the UK, despite the fact that he is French. After spending time in sales Alain managed the EMEA and India NVIDIA marketing organizations. Alain moved back to France and to the Business Development group in late 2008. He now focuses on overall ecosystem development including investments through the GPU Ventures Program, M&A, partnerships, distribution/co-marketing agreements and technology/patent licenses.

Dr. Christian Karrasch is a scientific expert and technical manager for ISS utilisation at the Space Administration of the German Aerospace Center DLR. Christian is living his personal dream in his daily work by participating in the future of human spaceflight. He is project lead of CIMON, the first astronaut assistant with artificial intelligence. Together with his colleagues he was managing the national contributions of the HORIZONS mission of ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst in 2018.
As a PhD-student he prepared space-samples and experiments for the Electro-Magnetic Levitator (EML) which are currently running onboard the ISS. His scientific background in material physics engaged him to perform several microgravity experiments during parabolic flights. Christian holds a PhD in Physics from the Ruhr-University of Bochum.
